I have shared long term price performance chart of the Company below. As per Dow theory of technical analysis price performance over a period of time reflects Company state.
Mazda Ltd Stock Performance
The stock has quick movement back and forth in short period of time. It got listed in year 2016 during bull run at listing price of 337. Due to bullish nature of market the prices performed and went well past 450.
But since then it has also touched below 300 price point and recovered from that as well. The dividend yield of 2% at current market price is exciting. Last couple of years were not good for most auto stocks so you should see the price performance in relation to that as well.
Mazda Ltd My Opinion
Mazda Ltd is a Auto Company. All the products are still not available in India. The Commercial vehicles products are mainly available in India. Indian commercial vehicle space is dominated by Tata and Ashok Leyland. These two are major competitors of any new entrant in market.
Indian Auto space will have decent growth in near future as well. The Auto penetration ratio is still low in India compared to developed countries. The sector is good and there will be demand no doubt. But should you invest in the new player Mazda.
With Japanese heritage there is no questions about Company potential. It has carved the path in Japanese market as well as World market both being super competitive for new players.
As of now I have not invested in Auto sector. Instead I invested in Auto Ancillary sector. Any growth in Auto sector will help the Components companies.
