Thakkers Developers are in Real Estate development business. It has operations based in Nashik city of Maharastra. It has completed various projects as listed below
- Multiplex in Nashik
- Township
- Bhavsangam which is colony of Bungalows
- First BOT project of new Central Bus Station (CBS) (Thakkers Buzz)
It has also started new residential project in Nagpur city as well. Thakker buzz became instant popular and is now Thakkers Buzz’r enjoys a strong presence across 18 locations in Maharashtra.
It was listed as 12th fastest growing construction company of India by leading magazine Construction World. It is first Company based in Nashik with this distinction.
Stock Performance
Above is long term price performance chart of the Stock. The stock gave incremental positive performance from year 2002 to 2014. It moved from 7 INR price to 200 INR price in one decade time giving excellent return to share holders.
But post year 2014 it has declined year after year showing under performance. It has not paid any dividend to investors which also is one negative.
My Opinion
Thakkers Developers are leading name in Nashik development space. But the Company has to enter other major cities of Maharastra for future growth and revenue.
The initial growth and success of Thakker Developers is also reflected in stock price but things have became stagnant. Dependency on only one city for majority of revenue is not a good idea.
Personally I do not like to invest in construction companies. They need cash and small companies can face difficulty if one of the projects gets delayed or is under sold.
Due to this if one is interested to invest in this sector then they should pick companies which less stress on balance sheet ideally backed up strong parentage or group or is big enough to with stand few construction failures.
