I have shared long term price performance chart of the Company below. As per Dow theory of technical analysis price performance over a period of time reflects Company state.

RPP Infra projects Stock Performance

The stock got listed on exchanges in year 2010 at listing price of 57. Compared to other Reality stocks it did fare well on exchanges giving positive returns as of now. It did have muted movement till year 2014.

The stock performed well from that point onward giving positive returns to investors. The recent correction in market have impacted the prices adversely and it lost most of the gains in last few years. The dividend yield of the stock at current market price is also decent.

RPP Infra projects My Opinion

RPP Infra projects is an Infrastructure Company. It has ventured into wide variety of projects. The Company is based in Tamilnadu. Majority of projects it executes are in Tamilnadu area only.

It has completed around 120 projects since inception which will help it get more projects in near future. I liked the slow and steady approach of the Company. This is the reason it has been stable in price movement compared to other Real Estate stocks.

Real Estate Construction Companies have struggled in past. People invest in these sectors hoping to make money if there is turn around in the sector. I would advice Retail investors not to invest in turn around stories. There are better stocks present in market which will give you incremental returns.

Real Estate is cyclic sector and it is very important to time the market. If you are unable to time the market then you may end up buying and selling at wrong levels. So for retail investors I do not recommend this sector. I have not invested in this sector as of now and planning not to invest in future as well.
