Camlin Fine Sciences Limited Stock Performance

The stock got listed in year 2007 at listing price of 6 INR. This was not good time to get listed as soon after listing stock suffered and did not see any definite positive movement till year 2014.

It gave ten times return in year 2014-2015. After that it cooled off and in recent bear and uncertain market the prices came down heavily and it started trading below 50 mark.

Camlin Fine Sciences Limited My Opinion

Camlin Fine Sciences Limited is a Pigment Company. It does have different business verticals and products which can be safely tagged under Chemicals sector. So it can be treated as primary pigment and secondary chemicals company.

The products created by this Company find usage in wide range of Industries mainly Food and Beverages (Both Human and Animals). The Chemicals division does have products for Pharma and Agro Chemical.

It has emerged as the largest producer of food antioxidant like TBHQ tert-Butylhydroquinone and BHA Butylated hydroxyanisole and is also one of the world’s leading Vanillin producer (ranked third as of now).

I feel with time we will have increasing demand of better food shelf life. The reasons are simple. Consumption will increase and food from one part of World is to be made available in other part (for example the Shrimp or Sea foods). These items needs protection. With growing population and increasing city limits will require food to be transported from other areas needing better shelf life.
