The stock made most from the frenzy about Real Estate companies before global crisis of 2008. With in six year period it gave more than 100 times return. This was golden period for investors of this Stock.
Like most real estate Stocks it had not performed well after 2008 global crisis. The stock has not breached 50 after year 2010. So in last one decade it is trading below 50 occasionally touching it. So far the stock has touched 50 four times and returned back. So 50 acts as very strong resistance for the Stock.
Artefact Projects Limited My Opinion
Artefact Projects Limited is a Real Estate Company. Note it is not real estate property development Company. It acts as a advisor and provides consultancy services to Real Estate development projects mainly Airports, Highways and Railways. It has executed some decent sized project in past as well.
This is asset light model. Main asset for the Company is skilled work force. In this regard you can view it as IT services Company. As IT services Company provides IT support and services to Banks. Similarly it provides support to Real Estate development.
The recent push from Government on Highway construction and new Airport construction is one major benefit for the Company. It has to win the bids though for Consultancy services. However there is good market for Consultancy services in Real Estate fields also. Though it is nascent stage in India as majority of Consultancy services are offered in house and foreign companies.
This is niche Company operating in this sector. There are not too many listed players in this space. This makes it a interesting Company to keep on your radar. I have not invested in Real Estate sector but planning to keep a watch on this Company.
